A first for Alligin Photography yesterday as we covered the British Army Athletics Team Championship. It is one of theree events that we will be covering for them that culminates in the Inter Service Championship in July. Yesterday's event was the team championship and Lee Crabb of Scrumpix Images captured the day which included particpants with a wide range of ability but this only added to the range of emotion, action, fun and occasionals spills that passed by his lens.
In this short photo story of the day I have selected 12 images that hopefully give a feel of the event that was held at the Military Stadium Aldershot. A full gallery is available on this site and can be accessed via a new page dedicated to British Army Athletics.
Any of the smaller images can be lightbox and viewed in a larger format by clicking on them. Lee and I have tried to capture some of the individual story along with the action of an individual event and in a couple of images a little of the detail that makes any sport but is often missed due to the nature of the event. All the images were post porcessed and desaturated to create a little more 'mood' and also to remove some of the distraction from the background, which those of you who know ALdershot's Military Stadium is not the best.
