The North West Highlands and Islands of Scotland contain some of the most dramatic scenery within Great Britain. The drive up the West coast from Loch Lomond, over Rannoch Moor, through Glen Coe and further North towards Sutherland is simply stunning. However it is not just the mountains, lochs and glens. The at times troubled history of Scotland ensures there are a number of iconic castle to view, some in good order, some not so. Along the Road to the Isles is the majestic Eilean Donan Castle near Dornie whilst on the shores of Loch Ness is Uruquart Castle and further South towards Oban within the tidal waters of Loch Laich stands Stalker Castle. This part of Scotland also has some of the finest beaches you can find including the Silver Sands at Morar.

The photographs on this site are all relatively low resolution JPEGs. All my photographs are printed from the high resolution source file held in TIFF format, using an Epson printer at 2880dpi. I use Epson Premium Lustre paper and Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks to ensure that your picture(s) will have a long life of up to 75 years.
