16 Jul 2017 Changing the Mood at Moto-X by Geraint Ashton Jones | posted in: Action Photography | 0 Take one dirt track set up for moto-x. Add a man with a pole and a Profoto B1 high speed strobe light on top. Mark reis is the photographer holding up the Profoto B1. Having been a photographer at 9 Olympic Games he has a wealth of top level sporting event photography to call upon. A rider prepared to do some aerial tricks. And a whole different mood can be created. The obligatory 3 x 1 format image because it is still a format that I think is under used. An angle that shows why it is often called dirt biking and suddenly the feel of the track has totally changed. But to finish with…… A straight forward image to finish using ambient light with a long lens to crop the trick quite tightly and to use the power of the still image to highlight the phenomenal skill the riders have. A great day at the track with two very helpful and accommodating riders whose skill was certainly appreciated at close quarters. Thank you Derik (rider in red) and Darrin (rider in green), great to spend time with you and see close up you bike handling skills. Share this:FacebookLinkedInTwitter
