Royal Navy Win at Anniesland

Test
Diane Hodgkinson, Craig’s mother, presents winning captain, Kyle Mason, of the Royal Navy the Craig Hodgkinson Trophy after a thrilling 28-17 win over home team Glasgow hawks.  The Royal Navy turned around at half time 21 – 5 ahead after recovering from an early Hawks try set back to score three of their own through man of the match, Matt Harvey, Richie Cadywould and Eldon Myers.  The second half was more even and the Navy weathered a strong Hawks fight back to secure the win aided by a fourth try from Rhys Dimmock-Williams.  During the match money was raised for the Craig Hodgkinson Trust which helps provide defribulators in the community.  Craig a Royal Navy and Glasgow Hawks player sadly died of cardiomyopathy when playing for the Royal Navy in 2006.  Tonight was the first time the teams have met since the memorial game May 2007.
