Looking out to Eigg from the Sleat Pennisular

Spent the day looking for otter signs today around the headland at the Point of Sleat.  Found a few promising sights where they clearly have been fishing in the sea and also their likely route back to the freshwater lochan.  Not sure how recent the activity is though.  Some hard walking over the terrain on the headland and my legs are a little out of practice.  No picture to add to my otter gallery this time.

Little wildlife around probably due to too much huffing and puffing from myself. However one of the locals kept an eye on my progress.

After a few hours hard graft it is always good to get the first view of home and the prospect of the kettle going on, as the easterly winds are still very chill.

The mountains of Knoydart form a stunning backdrop to our community at Aird. Our house is on the left of the picture,  slightly higher than the main community.
