Former Navy Rugby vice captain Greg Barden has announced his immediate retirement from rugby having stood down from captaining England Sevens. Greg was a key member of the Navy’s winning Inter Service team of 2010 and has also been responsible for bringing through much of the Navy’s current young talent. He will be missed and I am sure all who enjoyed watching his competitive style in the Navy blue shirt wish him well for the future.
I will post a fuller summary of his Navy Rugby career when the small matter of today’s Army Navy match is sorted.
