Grey and Common (harbour) seals are found all over Scotland which hosts the majority of the UK population. It seems that the Common Seal population is stabilising after recent worrying declines.  There are a number of resident populations of the larger Grey Seal off the Isle of Skye.  A small group are found off the North shore of the Sleat Peninsular and further populations are found on the Isle of Soay, Isle of Canna and near the entrance to Loch Coruisk, near Elgol.
