All of the animals and birds in the images are wild and captured in their natural environment. Great opportunities exist these days to photograph many lovely animals and birds in wildlife parks. These enable the photographer to get close to the subjects which are more used to having people around. However for me half the challenge is to try and get close to nature in its natural habitat. This I achieve with with mixed success but that is part of the enjoyment. Anyone wishing to either photograph or observe animals or birds in their natural environment should remain conscious that wild animals and birds can be easily startled and this may lead to increased stress in the animals. There are a number of useful codes of conduct which give thoughtful advice. A couple are given below.

Quality
The photographs on this site are all relatively low resolution JPEGs. All my photographs are printed from the high resolution source file held in TIFF format, using an Epson printer at 2880dpi. I use Epson Premium Lustre paper and Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks to ensure that your picture(s) will have a long life of up to 75 years.
