Otters are one of my favourite animals to watch and of course to photograph.  At times very elusive but when you do stumble upon them they are exquisite animals with a great sense of fun as they fish or simply seemingly play in the water.  Fortunately they are reasonably numerous on the Isle of Skye both on the inland lochs and the sea lochs.  However some of my best pictures of Otters were taken on the Isle of Carna which is found on the Ardnamurchan Peninsular.  This remote part of Scotland is fantastic for wildlife, beaches and its remoteness.  It is also an excellent example of an extinct caldera.
