With the day’s weather deteriorating only the first eleven competitors were allowed on the ‘High Route’ before Torridon Mountain Rescue advised its closure due to high winds on the summit and rapidly deteriorating visibility. The ‘Low Route’ was still touch as the athlete were faced with a long battle through wind and driving rain.
