Sacré Bleu – Marine Nationale make it four in a row

Congratulations go to the Marine Nationale side who last night retained “Le Crunch’ Trophy with a hard earned 19 – 15 win over the Royal Navy at Brickfields, Plymouth last night.  They edge ahead in the series 7 – 6, the first time since the fixtures were re-introduced in 2005.  They also achieved for the first time a winning sequence of four matches.  This is quite an achievement considering the great difficulty both sides have had in winning away from home.  The Royal Navy have only achieved it once in 2008 (Paris) whilst the Marine Nationale are clearly getting better at travelling having won away in 2015 (Portsmouth) and last night.
